Part 141 Flight School
Our flight school is certified under Part 141 of the Federal Aviation Regulations and one of the few proprietary flight schools in the state of Missouri that are approved to operate by the Missouri Coordinating Board of Higher Education. Our school is approved to provide training to Montgomery Bill Veterans and is approved to train under the Workforce Investment Act of the state of Missouri. Under state and federal approval, we are authorized to provide instruction ranging from private pilot training through Air Transport Pilot. St. Charles Flying Service, Inc. has a staff of certified flight instructors able to provide quality flight instruction or pilot services in our airplanes or planes owned by our customers.

Flight Training
St. Charles Flying Service has been an FAA Part 141 Approved Flight School since 1974. In addition, our flight school is one of the few proprietary flight schools in the entire state of Missouri that are state board of education approved to operate by the Missouri Department of Higher Education.

In light of the above mentioned credentials, veterans who qualify for veteran’s benefits are eligible to receive 60% re-imbursement for any training done once they obtain their Private Pilot license.

The school uses a Jeppensen Sanderson training curriculum and has used this curriculum for over 20 years with much success.

The school teaches all ratings in airplanes to include: Sport Pilot, Private, Commercial, Instrument, CFI, CFII, Multi, Multi I, Multi II, and ATP.

Light Sport Flight Training
St. Charles Flying Service is now an Evektor Sport Star dealer and Flight Training facility where you can purchase a light sport airplane and we can teach you to fly it.

Multi Engine Package
St. Charles Flying Service, Inc. offers various accelerated multi engine courses ranging from the Multi Engine rating, Multi Instructor, Commercial Multi, and Airline Transport Rating. All are approved under Part 141 of the Federal Regulations.

All of our courses are approved by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education of the State of Missouri.

The courses are completed in two to three days and attendees are directed to motels and other activities all within five miles of our facility. We provide transportation from Lambert International Airport and once enrolled, students are provided access to a courtesy vehicle to commute between the motels and the St. Charles Airport.

Our training is provided using twin engine Beech 76 Duchesses with 180 horsepower engines and state of the art radio and navigational equipment.

Currently we provide 5 hours of dual one on one in the airplane, 4 hours of one on one ground school, 1.5 hours of solo aircraft rental to take the check ride, and the cost of the examiner administering the check ride.
