Company IntroductionEasyJet is a low cost airline based at London Luton Airport. The airline operates scheduled services on 200 routes between 65 European airports. EasyJet flies a fleet of Airbus 319 and Boeing 737 aircrafts. Over the next few years the airline will continue its growth, with plans to increase the fleet from 114+ aircraft to 164+ by the end of 2007, with a possibility of a further 120 Airbus aircraft being delivered by 2012. | ||||||||
Flight Crew RequirementsEasyJet is currently hiring pilots. Basic requirements are as follows: • Air Transport Pilots Licence (or frozen ATPL) (UK or JAA) • Class 1 Medical • The ability to work and reside in the EU or Switzerland depending upon your base preference Under 65 years of age (our current retirement age is 65 due to European airspace regulations) The ability to provide full and accurate reference information covering the last 5 years • Please note that if you hold a European National JAA licence, you will have to exchange it for a UK JAA licence before you start with us. Entry Requirements Direct Entry Captains need a minimum of 3,000 factored hours total and a minimum of 500 factored hours in command of a medium to heavy commercial jet (current command). Fast-track Command is now available to First Officers with sufficient time (3,000 factored hours) to be considered. You will be assessed during your initial course for inclusion in the programme. Non-rated Co-Pilots need a minimum of 500 hours multi-crew commercial experience on any medium to heavy jet. Type-Rated Co-Pilots (B737 or A320 family) need a minimum of 50 hours on type Senior First Officers (SFOs) have an unfrozen ATPL. First Officers (FOs) have a frozen ATPL (CPL + ATPL theory). | ||||||||
Cabin Crew Job RequirementsEasyJet is currently hiring cabin crew. The minimum requirements for easyJet cabin crew are: • Aged 18 or over • Height 5’2’’ (1.58m) to 6’3’’ (1.90m) with weight in proportion to height • Physically fit • A good standard of education • Fluent in spoken and written English • In possession of at least six months face-to-face customer service experience • Able to swim at least 25 metres • In possession of the right to work in the UK and travel freely in the EU (not applicable to Basel and Geneva) In addition, you should be: • Friendly and personable • Mature in attitude and outlook • Able to remain calm and efficient under pressure • An excellent communicator with people of all ages and cultures • A team player • Flexible and adaptable • Able to take direction and feedback • Living within or prepared to move within one and a half hours of your base (within 45 minutes for Basel and Geneva) | ||||||||
