Company IntroductionFirst Choice Airways is the charter airline of British tour operator First Choice plc, based in Manchester, England. First Choice Airways currently operates a fleet of 32 aircraft: 7 x Airbus 320, 4 x Airbus 321, 19 x Boeing 757, 2 x Boeing 767. It has 10 Boeing Dreamliners on order and will be the UK launch customer for this aircraft. The current expectation for delivery is listed as 2010. That may prove optimistic. First Choice will be merging with Thomsonfly/TUI. First Choice Airlines and Thomsonfly will also come under one banner with more than 150 aircraft. | |||||||||||
Flight Crew RequirementsNo recruitment is taking place at present. Basic requirements • UK or JAR ATPL/IR with MCC or exemption • Class One Medical • Ideally type rated and current on A320 or B757 or a minimum total flying time of 800 hours with 500 hours jet, turboprop, rotary or military flying • Be entitled to live and work indefinitely in the UK • Hold a valid 10 year EU or UK passport, which permits worldwide travel without restrictions • Have full CRC clearance *From company’s website* Captains are recruited from within. Cabin Crew Job RequirementsFirst Choice is holding a recruitment day for Cabin Crew on Friday May 2, 2008, at its London Gatwick headquarters. Basic requirements • Aged 18 years or over • At least 1.58 metres tall • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English • Able to swim 25 metres • Entitled to live and work indefinitely in the UK • Hold a valid EU or UK passport that permits worldwide travel without restrictions • Demonstrable customer service experience • The drive and motivation to excel • Excellent communication skills • Articulate with a good sense of humour and an open and warm personality • Strong team player • Flexibility in working schedules | |||||||||||
