JetBlue Airways is an American low-cost airline based at John F. Kennedy International Airport. It is one of the largest airlines in the Northeast United States.

The airline mainly serves destinations in the United States, along with flights to the Caribbean, Central America and South America. JetBlue flies to nearly 80 destinations in 24 states and 12 countries. 

JetBlue was founded by several former Southwest Airlines employees, who followed the low-cost approach but attempted to differentiate itself by offering in-flight perks such as in-flight entertainment, TV´s at every seat and satellite radio. The goal was to "bring back humanity to air travel."

JetBlue is a non-union airline and does not participate in any major global airline alliance but has several codeshare agreements.

Pilot Jobs with JetBlue Airways

JetBlue Airways is hiring pilots.

First Officers Minimum Requirements:
  • FAA ATP Certification
  • 1,500 hours total (including turbine Helicopter, excluding Simulator, Flight Engineer)
  • 500 hours fixed wing time
  • FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate
  • FCC Radio License
  • Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to be based in any one of the following BlueCities: JFK, BOS, MCO, FLL, LGB
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1,000 hours turbine PIC
  • 1,000 hours in sophisticated aircraft utilizing Electronic Flight Instrument Systems (EFIS), Flight Management Systems (FMS)
  • 200 hours within the last 12 months
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Flight Attendant Jobs with JetBlue Airways

JetBlue Airways is hiring flight attendants.

Inflight Crew Trainee & Bilingual Inflight Crew Trainee
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Fluent in English (and Spanish for bilingual position)
  • Age: at least 20 years old
  • Vision: corrected to 20/20
  • 2 years customer service experience
  • Ability to walk comfortably down the aircraft aisle while facing forward
  • Able to lift 50 lbs fro the floor to above the shoulders
  • Able to reach 6´3" without shoes
  • Able to be away from home up to 5 night and 6 consecutive days
  • Passport
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Able to report within 2 hours of notice to assigned base location
  • Bachelor´s degree preferred
