Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Quality Control and Compliance Manager

Job Summary:
Responsible for satisfying the requirements of this position as described in Colgan Air GMM. The Inspector has the authority to perform any function required in the manual.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure each inspection assigned is performed in accordance with the requirements of the manual.
- Ensure the adequacy, correctness and completion of all associated and required documentation for all maintenance work performed or inspections conducted.
- Ensures, when performing an inspection, appropriate and current data is used and that special tools and test equipment are calibrated as required by this manual. 
- Perform receiving inspection duties. 
- Assist with the training of maintenance and other inspection personnel as required.
- Assist with audits as requested by the Quality Control and Compliance Manager. 
- Maintain a current A&P license. 
- Report any mechanical irregularities to the Director of Quality Control or Quality Control and Compliance Manager as outlined in the CASP Manual. 
- In the absence of an inspector, a designated inspector will perform inspections of required inspection items (RII). Not performing inspections on any work which he has partially or completely completed himself. 
- Designated Inspectors hold the same responsibilities as an Inspector and will report to the Quality Control and Compliance Manager during the time he is doing aircraft inspection work. 
- Performs other tasks and duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, or any combination of education and experience enabling one to perform the job functions. 
- A&P Certification Required.
- Valid Driver´´s License

Special Requirements:
Must be able to work extra hours when necessary. Some travel may be necessary.  Must possess valid drivers license and if position requires use of company vehicle(s), must be insurable under company insurance coverage.
