Colgan Air, Inc (A United Express, Continental Connection and US Airways Express carrier) is seeking a Manager, Quality Control & Compliance in Albany, NY (ALB).
Job Description: Quality Control and Compliance Manager
Department: Maintenance Location: Memphis, TN
Reports To: Director of Quality Control
Job Summary:
Responsible for managing the daily activities of assigned Maintenance Base Inspection Personnel to ensure Colgan Air aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition as prescribed by FARs, Colgan Air manuals, operations specifications and manufacturer´s manuals, as appropriate. Ensures individuals or agencies that perform maintenance and/or maintenance related to services for Colgan Air aircraft shall perform those duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable FARs and accepted industry practices. The Quality Control and Compliance Manager will hold responsibility for all duties as an Inspector.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the daily administration and supervision of the Maintenance Base Inspection personnel.
- Ensure Inspectors are qualified, trained and available to perform their duties in the most efficient manner possible, when and as needed at assigned Maintenance Base.
- Provide required inspection items and receiving inspection training to Maintenance Base personnel to ensure quality standards for all inspection requirements and parts and materials used to maintain aircraft.
- Ensure that all tools and test equipment that require periodic or special calibration are calibrated and serviceable at assigned Maintenance Base by coordinating with Quality Control and Compliance Manager.
- Ensure each inspection assigned is performed in accordance and current data is used and that special tools and test equipment are calibrated as required by the GMM.
- Perform RII and receiving inspection duties.
- Ensure the adequacy, correctness and completion of all associated and required documentation for all maintenance work performed or inspections conducted.
- Responsible for any mechanical irregularities to the Director of Quality Control or Quality Control and Compliance Manager as outlined in the CASP Manual.
- Responsible for and coordinates documentation for all repairs and alterations and engineering support data for DQC approval.
- Perform periodic audits of assigned Maintenance Base facility to ensure conformance with company standards and procedures, including periodic audits of Parts and Stores for shelf-life limit policy compliance.
- Provide CASP Manager all required forms and records in a timely manner for each audit conducted to document compliance or non-compliance with the safety program.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Quality Control.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MUST have a valid A&P License
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver´s License
- Abilty to Travel
- Valid Passport or ability to obtain one
- Be able to work days, nights and/or weekends without any restrictions
