The Production Supervisor is responsible for the completion of maintenance, modifications, and documentation of the work performed on the company aircraft
Job Description:
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor employees work levels and review work performance
- Coach employees about work related issues and assist employees to correct on their issues
- Recommend changes in staffing such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges or disciplinary measures
- Responsible for work areas, tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules
- Investigate accident or injuries and prepare reports of findings with recommendations to lower risks in the work place
- Develop and provide workers training in safety, repair, maintenance techniques, operational procedures or equipment use
- Requisition materials and supplies such as equipment or replacement parts
- Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions
- Determine schedule and assignments for work activities based on work priority, availability of equipment and skill level of personnel
- Meet with vendors or suppliers to discuss products used in repair work
- Collaborate with management, engineering, quality control, and customers to coordinate work activities to identify and review resource needs for projects
- Manage systems or facilities and utilize data to determine instillations, services or repairs
- Collaborate with senior management by developing, implementing or evaluating maintenance policies and procedures
- Assist in producing estimate and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor or outside contractors
- Oversee job functions of the repair or maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand or power tools, hydraulic presses, shears, or welding equipment
- Ensure work conforms to technical data by inspecting, testing, measuring and measuring by using devices such as hand tools or gauges to verify conformance to standard repair requirements
- Interpret specifications, blueprints or job orders to construct templates and lay out reference points for technicians
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid A&P certificate
- 3+ years of experience as a Production Supervisor
- 5+ years of experience as an A&P mechanic
- 3+ years of King Air or DHC-8 experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MSOffice products
- Previous program or departmental manager experience
- Ability to work shifts and weekends as required
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Up to 30% travel will be required
