Program Manager, DHC-8 Platform

Location: Bridgewater, VA

Job Description:
The Program Manager, DHC-8 Platform role exists to provide ownership to all technical issues involving the DHC-8 aircraft, including maintenance program management, reliability, training, tooling and ground support equipment.

Job Responsibilities:
The Program Manager, DHC-8 Platform is responsible for developing and maintaining assigned aircraft platform maintenance program currency and overseeing assigned aircraft platform reliability and technical analysis. The Program Manager, DHC-8 Platform will monitor the fleet Airworthiness Directive compliance and is responsible for reviewing new technical data (Service bulletins, Service Information Letters) for applicability and providing justification for action. This position acts as the primary technical interface on program maintenance issues and provides monthly reliability reports on platform aircraft. The Program Manager, DHC-8 Platform will assist the Reliability Analyst in root cause analysis and the development of Quarterly Reliability Reviews. This position will ensure aircraft records are maintained to industry and FAA/AED standards and is responsible for inventory analysis and component reliability. Additional responsibilities include monitoring fleet maintenance program effectiveness; providing spares, GSE, and tooling guidance for platform programs; developing and delivering technical presentation for customer program reviews and assisting Maintenance Control with Technical issues. This position authors and tracks compliance for Fleet Campaign Directives and performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements: The ideal candidate must possess a valid FAA A&P certificate with at least 5 years of experience as a certified mechanic. This position requires strong electrical or avionics experience, organizational skills and strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office products are required. Previous program or departmental manager experience is preferred. A minimum of 3 years DHC-8 experience is preferred.
