Company IntroductionMesaba Airlines is a regional carrier operating as Northwest Airlink under contract with Northwest Airlines. Mesaba serves some 100 cities in about 30 states and Canada from hubs in Detroit, Memphis, and Minneapolis/St. Paul. The airline operates a fleet of about 75 regional jets and turbo-prop aircrafts. Flight Crew RequirementsMesaba Airlines will be hiring 333 new pilots in 2008. Requirements: First Officer • 600 Total Hours (Fixed Wing) • 50 Total Multi Engine Hours • 100 Hours Instrument (combination aircraft and/or simulator) • High School Diploma (College preferred) • FAA CPL/ME/IR • Current First Class Medical • Current Passport • FCC Radio Operators Permit • Vision Correctable to 20/20 Mesaba is currently only interviewing for first officer positions. | |||||||||||
Cabin Crew Job RequirementsMesaba Airlines is currently seeking 150 new flight attendants for their bases in Memphis, TN, Detroit, MI, and Minneapolis, MN. Requirements • Have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position • Height is 6’ tall or less • 18 years of age or older • High School diploma or equivalent • Authorization to work in the United States • Must be able to fulfill a Federal Aviation (FAA) required ten-year work history and a fingerprint criminal background check • Must be able to pass FAA pre-employment and random drug tests • Must successfully complete Mesaba Airline’s FAA approved flight attendant training programs • Must be able to lift 35 pounds on a repetitive basis and occasionally up to 70 pounds • Must be able to stand and walk continuously during work shift • Must be able to bend and twist frequently while handling luggage, beverages, and snacks • Must be able to reach up to 65 inches tall • Must be able to endure repetitive variances in altitude and cabin pressure • Must be able to push and move a beverage or meal cart • Must currently posses or be able to obtain a passport • Must pass a FBI background check • Must possess valid passport and eligible for multiple entry/exit • Must not have DUI conviction within previous 10 years • Be available to work varied hours and schedules – to include reserve status | |||||||||||
Maintenance Job RequirementsMesaba Airlines is hiring mechanics for most of their bases. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent • Current FAA approved A&P license • Valid drivers license with good driving record • Posses a minimum tool list Starting salary of $12.06-$14.68 (shift differential available), plus opportunities for advancement | |||||||||||
