Air Hawkes Bay Ltd (AHB) was the first NZ Training Provider to be accredited with CAA Part 141and also has an Air Transport Operation that is conducted under CAA Part 135 certification. The organization has New Zealand Qualification Authority approval and is also a Signatory to the Code or Practice for International Students. The above approvals and certifications and our 80 years of pilot training experience are all indicators to show you that our Company is being run to high quality management standards and is a well recognized, stable and successful establishment.

AHB specialises in providing full-time integrated pilot training. The theory and flying is integrated from a Beginner through to the Private Pilot Licence, Commercial Pilot Licence, Instrument Rating, Instructors Ratings, and Multi-engine Ratings. Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL theory only), Basic Gas Turbine, Crew Resource Management (CRM) and GPS Courses are also available.

AHB has fifteen experienced instructors to operate the aircraft fleet that includes Piper Tomahawks and Cherokees, Cessna 172s (glass cockpit), Rockwell Commander 114 and Twin Engine Piper Senecas. These aircraft are supported with CAA approved simulators.
