Ascent Pilot Training is a Cessna Pilot Center located at Joe Foss Airport in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. We offer pilot training toward private pilot and commercial pilot certificates as well as advanced ratings like instrument rating, multi-engine rating, or instructor (CFI). Our fleet is mostly made up of newer Cessna aircraft, some with the new Garmin G1000 glass cockpit.

Our flight training is customized to your needs. We offer written test preparation seminars, groundschool, Cessna computer based training, private pilot refreshers, instrument refreshers, and other clinics. Ascent Pilot Training proud to be designated as an Authorized C.A.T.S. Testing Center, offering computerized knowledge tests for "all" FAA certification exams.

When comes time to fly, our team of certified flight instructors will focus on your flying requirements. We pride outselves in coming up with ways to keep things interesting while ensuring that you will be ready for your FAA practical exam. For example, we encourage our students to plan cross country flights to interesting and challenging desinations. We have had training flights to the Carribean, Alaska, New Orleans, and destinations in Canada. Our students can be exposed to cross-boarder operations, mountain flying, and operating in busy airspace.

If aircraft rental is what you need, then check out our fleet! We have a variety of newer Cessna aircraft available to rent. We offer aircraft with conventional instruments as well as the exciting Garmin G1000 glass cockpit. Don't let the new technology scare you becuase we have a special program to introduce you to glass cockpit flying.

We also offer aerobatic flight training in our 2005 ACA 8KCAB Super Decathlon. While many pilots fly aerobatics for the thrills, aerobatics flying can help build exceptional pilot skills.

It doesn't stop there. Ascent Pilot Training is continually investing in our fleet and facilities. We have just added a brand new Cessna T206H with the latest version of the Garmin G1000. You will love flying this speedy 6-seat aircraft on your cross countries flights or that next family trip. Our Cessna C310 twin engine is currently undergoing a meticulous inspection. When finished, it will have new 3-bladed props and be ready to go anywhere you want!
