Blue Sky Aviation is now FAA part 141 approved. Our comprehensive in-residence career training academy program is unlike anything available in the industry today. Our comprehensive career training program is unlike anything available in the industry today. We focus on training our students to become professional helicopter pilots upon graduation.

While flight instruction is one aspect of our program, we emphasize professional development to form a foundation of knowledge that will serve our customers throughout their careers. Our academy training limits class size so we are always sure to have training resources available.

Training Philosophy A focus on Career Preparation
Our philosophy is that we are in the business of career preparation. We are not just a flight training school, because to make a career in aviation requires more than the ability to pilot an aircraft. Our role is to develop our customer’s technical, emotional and intellectual skills. Ultimately, our mission is to influence the attitudes that contribute to our customer’s safety, work ethic, professionalism and confidence. We want our students to be fully prepared to enter the industry as professional flight instructors.

We believe that the academy atmosphere provides the most effective way to teach students what employers really expect. Most ’self-paced’ programs are just not realistic in preparing students to be employable. No employer allows you to come work when you feel like. There aren’t any ’self-paced’ job opportunities in the helicopter business. All employers expect a certain level of commitment from their employees. Instead of designing the easiest program in the industry, we are committed to making our graduates employable.

We must also be fair to our extended customers, the operators that hire our graduates. Operators depend on us to supply them with safe, reliable and motivated employees. We believe that our training program should never graduate a student that would fall short of our customer’s expectations or compromise the reputation of the school. We also believe in treating others as we would want to be treated. We want to assure our students that they can trust us to do what we say. We put everything in writing in the form of a contract to insure that there aren’t misunderstandings later on. We are willing to not only do what we say, but put it in writing so we all understand what to expect from each other.

Finally, we believe that our students are not only customers, but are actually our business partners. Our students rely on us to prepare them to become professional pilots. We depend on our students performance in the industry to build the reputation of the school. The better job we do preparing our students, the better our graduates perform in the industry. The higher our graduates climb the career ladder, a little piece of us goes with them. When our students achieve their goals, we also share in that success.

Flight Training Programs
Blue Sky Aviation offers a variety of flight training program to meet each student’s needs. Whether you are looking for an in-residence full-time commitment, or wish to train part-time, we have a program that will meet your needs. Career Track Academy
The academy program is an intensive training system that will immerse students in the learning environment. If you want to ’fast-track’ your career training, this program is for you! The full-time academy is an 8 - 5, Monday through Friday program that will get your ratings completed in the shortest amount of time. The ’Part-time’ program is designed for working adults that cannot stop their life to pursue an aviation career.

"On Demand" Training
Students that do not need all of the packaged services of the academy programs can enroll in the ’on demand’ program. The ’on-demand’ training program is designed to be flexible enough to meet your needs. This program is perfect for those wishing to pursue a private pilot license, or those with previous fixed-wing flight experience.

Accelerated Training
Our specialized accelerated training programs are designed specifically for customers with time sensitive needs. Many of the specialized training programs have mandatory pre-requisites that must be met prior to enrollment. These programs are not for everyone and require massive commitment and effort on the part of the student.

Financing
Sallie Mae offers alternative loan programs for career education. Blue Sky Aviation, Inc. has been approved by Sallie Mae to provide this loan to our customers.
