Program Description
Upon successful completion of this AAS Professional Helicopter Training Program, students will possess commercial helicopter and flight instructor licenses preparing them for careers in the aviation industry.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates of this program will be prepared for employment as pilots in these careers:
1. Flight instruction for a flight school or Fixed Based Operation (FBO)
2. EMS work for a hospital.
3. Tours, rides, surveying, cropdusting, and charters.
4. Flying for a power company doing power line patrol.
5. Fire fighting, air attack, forward air command, and positioning.
6. Heavy Lift Company doing logging, construction, etc.
7. News station doing electronic news gathering (ENG)
8. Law enforcement, border patrol, DNR, US Forest Service.
9. Corporate Pilot.
10. Search and rescue pilot.
11. Preparation for helicopter position in the military.
12. US Coast Guard.
