We’ll try to find answers to all of your questions and in this moment
explain shortly everything relevant about pilot training in Jat Airways
Flight Academy.
LICENCING
Our Academy is as of this year completely in accordance with JAA
(Joint Aviation Authorities). Our Civil Aviation Directorate issues JAA licence which is completely acceptable in whole
European Union without additional formalities.
What you need to know is there are generally two types of licences,
Private
Pilot Licence and
Commercial Pilot Licences.
There are also different ratings that can be added to the licences, such
as
Instrument ratings,
Type and
Class
Rating.
COURSES
Also, there are two types of courses:
Modular courses are for people who wish to obtain
professional licence in several steps. This is for people who already
have a job or family, and who want to progress gradually, where the
length of time is not primary issue.
Integrated courses are for those who want to become
professional pilots very fast, but this requires constant (whole day)
presence of the candidate on both theoretical and flying training. This
is finished in a "breath" and the longest course of this type lasts
approximately 14 to 16 months.
We expect new FNPT II ALSIM simulator and beside upper mentioned
courses, soon we will offer ATPL integrated course as well as MCC
course.
ENROLMENT CONDITIONS
1.
MEDICAL CRITERIA
The candidate must have at least Class 2 Medical criteria for PPL
course. Medical check can be done at the certified AME in Vršac or in
AMC centres in Belgrade (Jat Medicine or VMA). For all other licences
and ratings the candidate must have Class 1 criterium. medical check can
be done in AMC centres in Belgrade (Jat Airways Medicine or VMA).
Without this, the candidate can not enrol a course.
2. PRE KNOWLEDGE CONDITIONS
For all integrated courses the entry test from the following subjects
is obligatory:
- Mathematics (Fractions, Percentage Calculus, Elementary
Trigonometry, Linear Interpolation)
- Physics (Basic Mechanics, Fluids, Electrics, Thermodynamics)
- English language (grammar)
For PPL and modular courses there is practically no entry test in
knowledge.
3. FINANCIAL CRITERION
The Academy has very flexible politics of payment and it is not
obligatory that the candidate pays the whole training in advance. In
this way we protect the candidate in the unlikely event that candidate
aborts the training. Generally, candidates pay in segments of training.
For example, firstly pay 30% of theory, and 20-30 flying hours. When
this phase is finished the candidate pays for the next segment, etc.
To the expenses in the table you should add the expenses for the
exams in front of Civil Aviation Directorate of Serbia.
TIME OF ENROLMENT
The groups are formed accordingly to the interested candidates. When
there are enough of the interested candidates, the group is formed, and
the course starts. The minimum number of candidate in one group is from 5
to 7 and the maximum is 12, as there is certain level of individual
work with each candidate.
