The Minnesota State University Aviation Program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills in professional flight, aviation safety, aviation, aeronautical and aerospace sciencesand aviation management in order to compete in the rapidly changing and highly competitive field of aviation.
Our professional flight graduates compete favorably in this field due to our unique approach that focuses from the beginning on honing your skills toward flight instructor proficiency coupled with our emphasis on multiengine training, Glass-cockpit and technologies of the future. Our aviation management graduates are also well equipped for their careers through our business foundation along with technical and academic courses in aviation. We are especially proud of our internship opportunities with both major and regional airlines.
Our program prepares students for responsible positions in the air transportation industry, including airline operations and management, corporate aviation, airport management, military aviation and government operations. The program offers a Bachelor of Science in Aviation with a concentration in either Professional Flight or Aviation Management.
The majority of our students concentrate Professional Flight. The aviation department is a member of the Council on Aviation Accreditation and the University Aviation Association.
