About

National Aviation Academy (NAA) has been training aviation professionals since 1932 with campuses both in New England (Bedford, Mas.) and Florida (Tampa Bay/Clearwater).

Aircraft Maintenance Professional (AMP)

Aviation Companies that partner with NAA requested that an AMP program was designed that specifically addressed not only fundamental understanding of core aviation maintenance topics, but also addressed cutting edge technology. With our 21 months, 3,000 clock hours, AMP Program you will be at the forefront of this request, giving you a competitive advantage in the employment market after graduation from National Aviation Academy.

Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT)

This core program prepares you to meet the FAA requirements for maintenance training outlined in FAA Part 147. At only 14 months and 2,000 clock hours, a lot of students are attracted to this program because of its fast pace. You will be taught 44 FAA mandated subjects, divided into 3 sections: General, Airframe, and Power Plant.

Aviation Maintenance Certification (AMC)

This specialized two weeks course is designed for candidates with prior aviation maintenance experience. If you have previous military aviation experience or have received FAA permission to move forward to testing for an Airframe & Powerplant Certification (A&P License), this course is an ideal preparation ahead of your exam.

Inspection Authorization (IA)

This is a four days course that will prepare you for the Inspection Authorization Certificate from the FAA. To qualify for this course you must hold at least a valid A&P Certificate and have worked actively in the field of aircraft maintenance for at least 2 years.

This school was very disorganized. I attended in 2013 and graduated at the top of my class but with prior aviation experience from my time in the military. They´re policies were taking personal money out of students pockets for missing days even for an emergency by charging $15 for every hour missed. The screening process appeared to be strict as to what students were allowed in but it seemed as if as long as students were able to sign up for loans, (in which the school was audited for twice and the loan officer in charge by the name of James was fired for embezzlement) they were allowed in. Most of the students acted like degenerates and allowed in class even under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs in which I have witnessed personally and the curriculum was severely outdated and most hangar maintenance manuals were missing key pages and whole books in order to properly execute successful maintenance on projects. Most of the teachers minus a few were very unprofessional. Brandon
