Conveniently situated in the heart of Central Florida, just 15 miles south of the Orlando International Airport (MCO), and 15 minutes away from the world famous Walt Disney Wold theme park, Orlando Flight Training has more to offer than just flying. With Florida’s warm temperatures year round and beautiful blue skies, the climate conditions are practically “aviation perfect.”
Training for both FAA and JAA LicensesHaving been in business since 1995, OFT is approved to conduct European JAA flight training (FTO 082) and American, FAA, flight training courses. We can take you all the way from the basic Private Pilot to the complete Airline Transport Pilot Certificate. Our FAA programs are conducted under FAR PART 61 and FAR PART 141 Regulations.
Our Training FleetOFT operates a fleet of more than 45 aircraft, including single engine Cessna 152s, 172SPs, 172 G1000s, Piper Cadets, Warriors and Arrows, as well as multi-engine Beechcraft Duchesses and Piper Seminoles.
JAA ATPL Ground SchoolOFT offers a residential JAA ATPL Ground School course which is designed to be completed over 27 weeks (21 weeks of instruction, three weeks of study and three weeks of examinations). Our ATPL subjects are divided into three subject modules. Each module runs approximately seven weeks, followed by one week for the JAR‐FCL examinations. The weeks consist of 40 lectures, each one 50 minutes in duration.
In order to begin the ATPL class, you must hold a valid ICAO Private Pilot License.
Facilities With more than 20,000 square feet of all‐purpose training space, we are able to offer the very latest in computer‐based interactive training on all of our courses along with a fully equipped media room with an extensive video library. Our dedicated flight planning rooms offer multiple computers with direct internet access with continually updated weather information and direct telephone lines to Flight Service Stations. Our state‐of‐the‐art fixed wing and helicopter AATD simulators and 737 AATS are available for those wanting to sharpen their newly acquired flying skills and polish up on those instrument approach procedures.
