Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology has for more than 80 years been teaching students like you how to take a passion for aviation and turn it into a career you will love. Our founder, W.G. Skelly, was convinced that air transportation would become the technology of the future and bring with it a need for skilled pilots and aircraft technicians. The year was 1928, and he was as right. This is why Spartan College, with its learning-by-doing teaching philosophy, has been a leader in aviation education for three quarters of a century.

Pilot Training*
Spartan College´s pilot training curriculum is uniquely designed to optimize the flight hours towards the completion of your pilot training program. Spartan College offers both FAA part 61 and 141 training, providing you maximum flexibility.

With us you can complete all FAA pilot licenses from Private Pilot (PPL) all the way through to becoming a Multi-Engine (MEL), Instrument Rated (IR) Commercial Pilot (CPL) with an Instructor Certificate (CFI).

The training program at our Tulsa flight school is designed specifically for the career-oriented pilot. Some of our instructors have more than 25,000 hours of flight instruction and over 20 years experience in the aviation industry.

Learning to fly from such an experienced faculty will set you apart as you pursue your degree and become a professional and competent pilot.

Aircraft Fleet
Spartan College maintains a fleet of approximately fifty aircraft including Cessna 152´s, 172´s, 172RG´s for advanced complex training and Piper Seminoles used for multi-engine training. We also have a full motion Redbird simulator and Frasca flight procedural trainers.

Aircraft Maintenance Program
The importance of aircraft maintenance cannot be denied. Aircraft technicians are the highly skilled, detail oriented individuals who keep the aviation industry flying. Spartan College´s FAA Approved program will prepare you for the Airframe and Powerplant Certification (A&P Mechanics License).

Spartan´s aircraft maintenance training includes a diploma that you can complete in as little as 18 months and an Associates of Applied Science degree that you can complete in less than two years.

Avionics Maintenance Technology Program
Spartan College´s Avionics Maintenance Technology Program will prepare you to become an avionics systems technician. You can complete the diploma in as little as 15 months and earn an Associates of Applied Science Degree in less than two years.

As technology advances, the need for highly trained avionics technicians is becoming ever more important. Spartan College´s avionics program in Tulsa, Oklahoma, combines electronics and avionics specialities with the general core requirements for aviation maintenance.

Hands-on Experience on a Boeing 727-200 Aircraft
Spartan College also has a Boeing 727-200 aircraft, donated by FedEx Express, that we use for hands-on training in the aviation maintenance, avionics maintenance and non-destructive testing and quality control programs.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Technology Management
At Spartan College we understand the need for our graduates to complete their Aviation Bachelor´s degree in a convenient and quick format.

The accelerated Aviation Techology program is designed specifically for working adults with an interest in aviation and those who wish to work with NDT testing equipment and NDT testing methods. If you are a Spartan graduate or hold an associates´s degree, you can complete the program in as little as 16 months.

Associate of Applied Science Degree Program
The practical hands-on programs such as Aircraft Maintenance Training or Avionics Technology Training can be combined with classroom theory that will lead to an Associates of Applied Science Degree.

With an associates degree from Spartan College you have the option to begin work immediately in your chosen field of study or continue your education towards a bachelor´s degree.

Our aviation school is licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Private Vocational Schools. Programs are approved by the Oklahoma State Accrediting Agency for Veterans (GI Bill). The Aviation Maintenance Technology Program is approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (Air Agency Certificate No. DF2S766K for Flight and Certificate No. CB9T054R for Aviation Maintenance). Spartan is authorized under federal law to en-roll eligible international students.

Spartan is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and is authorized to offer Associate of Applied Science Degrees with Majors in Aviation Maintenance Technology, Avionics Maintenance Technology, Quality Control and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Technology Management.
