We are the premier flight school offering one on one instruction to those who want to pursue their Private Pilot License, Commercial Pilot License, Instrument Rating, Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI), and Certificated Flight Instructor Instrument Rating (CFII). If it is your intention to take the entire course, Private Pilot License through Certificated Flight Instructor Instrument Rating, the price can be reduced in two cases: the instrument rating portion can be completed during the Commercial Pilot License Course and for Helicopter Flight Training up to 15 hours of the Instrument Training can be completed in an Airplane. All Flight School prices are strictly based on the FAA minimum requirements.

Stars & Stripes can assist you by arranging financial aid to cover the cost of your flight training. We have also recently teamed up with The College of Southern Nevada and The University of Utah. These partnerships allow you to use your low interest educational loans towards CSN’s or UVU’s Private Pilot, Commercial Pilot, and Instrument rating classes, affording college students an ability to earn elective credit towards a degree while flying planes or helicopters at the Stars & Stripes Flight School.

Stars & Stripes is open 7 days a week 365 days a year to accommodate for your life and work schedule. In most cases, you can fly more than once a day. Ground training can be done up to as many hours that you may want or need. The aviation industry is constantly growing, changing, and looking for pilots as there will be a shortage in both helicopter and airplane pilots, due to a large portion of pilots reaching retirement ages.

The process and decision making to become a pilot is a life changing experience and takes a lot of commitment. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a tour of our operations, please call 702-309-2525 and we will be happy to meet with you.

Stars & Stripes Air Services, LLC

School History:
Stars & Stripes Air Services, LLC, a Stars & Stripes Air Tour Company, is the sister company to Las Vegas Helicopters, Inc. based in Boulder City, NV and Gateway Air Tour, LLC based in St. Louis, MO. In June of 2007, Stars & Stripes Air Tour LLC purchased Air Excel, Inc. the essential services FBO at the Boulder City Airport in Boulder City, NV and renamed the company Stars & Stripes Air Services. In August of 2007, Stars & Stripes Air Services received its FAA Part 141 Pilot School Certification for fixed wing training. Stars & Stripes Air Services introduced helicopter flight training in October 2007 to our growing family. Stars & Stripes Air Services is currently working to add our rotorcraft program to the Part 141 certificate to offer you Part 141 or Part 61 flight training as you desire. We provide one of a kind services and instruction combined with the ability to provide you both rotorcraft and fixed wing training at the Stars and Stripes Flight School.
Our highly qualified instructors work one-on-one with all the students to ensure you get the best Flight and Safety training possible. We strive to provide excellent training; we want you to be the safest and most knowledgeable pilot in the skies.

School Location:
Stars & Stripes Air Services is based at Boulder City Airport (61B) in Boulder City, NV just a short drive from Las Vegas. Our near perfect weather conditions, at 2201’ feet field elevation, provides a safe and productive environment for you to achieve your goals as a helicopter or fixed wing pilot.

Living expenses are affordable and there are a number of things to do in the Boulder City/Las Vegas area when you aren’t flying or studying. The airport is minutes away from Lake Mead National Park and the Hoover Dam, there are also off road trails to the Colorado River, and a number of other places to explore.

Aircraft:
In our helicopter division we operate Robinson R22s and R44 helicopters. Robinsons are the most popular choice for helicopter training in the world because of their safety, cost effectiveness, and reliability. In the future we plan to add turbine training in a Eurocopter AS350 helicopter series for students that are looking to obtain their turbine rating.

In our fixed wing division we currently have Diamond DA XP 40’s, Cessna 172’s, Piper Warriors, and Piper Arrows with future plans for Diamond DA XP 20’s as well as multi-engine aircraft.

Flight Scheduling:
Our instructors work one-on-one with you and will schedule lessons at your pace to fit in with your life and job. The suggested scheduling for both the helicopter and fixed wing training is a minimum of two hour blocks for ground or flight training. The recommended scheduling is a minimum of three times a week.

Hours of Operation:
Stars & Stripes Air Services FBO hours are from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday year round. Flight training can also be scheduled anytime that is convent to the student and instructor.

Student Services:
For the students coming in from other parts of the country and world, we do not have housing or transportation provided, however our friendly staff will assist you if needed.
