The Garden Island Flight Club

The Garden Island Flying Club is a family oriented business with the mission to provide safe and economical aviation services to the Kauai community. Our primary offerings will be a PART 61 Flight School and a Flying Club. In partnership with Aouli LLC, The Garden Island Flying Club will have a Cessna Cardinal 177 available as our first Club plane.

The Garden Island Flying Club is dedicated to providing the best flight training in the Hawaii. We provide instruction including: Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial Pilot, and Certified Flight instructor . Our group of flight instructors are professionals and will make your training experience enjoyable. Our syllabus is focused on one-on-one instruction which provides us the ability to fit your learning needs. Ground school is facilitated through interactive DVD ground school and in person sessions. Inquire about opportunities to gain college credit for flight training. This credit can be used in conjunction with online courses to gain a degree in aviation.

The training environment Kauai provides is excellent for the student pilot. We have fair weather most of the year, and many different flight environments giving students experience they might not gain in other training locations. The lower traffic area around Kauai is well suited for brand new pilots, allowing them to concentrate on learning “stick and rudder” skills. Students will become well versed in mountain flying due to Kauai’s topography. Overwater flight is very difficult to gain experience in on the mainland and we have plenty of opportunity for this being on an island. We also are in close proximity to the high volume Class B Airspace over Honolulu Intl. Students will be able to mix in with the widebody aircraft arriving and departing from Honolulu.
