The Aviation Maintenace Technology Program at Western Suffolk BOCES is an FAA approved program that provides both the hands-on experience and the training necessary to service, repair and overhaul reciprocating and turbine engines and components, powerplant control systems, instrumentation, and induction and exhaust systems. Three curriculum areas help students prepare to take the Airframe and Powerplant Maintenance exams that lead successful completers to FAA licenses. Semesters begin Sept. and Jan. Financial aid is avialable to those who qualify. Accept transfer credits for work successfully competed in other FAA-approved programs. Also offer Designated Mechanic exam.
