International Trip Planning Specialist


Job Objective:

To provide outstanding & personalized international trip planning & coordination services for all types of flight operations.

The Operations Specialist in International Trip Planning role is responsible for executing the flight operations services including

but not limited to trip planning, visas assistance, slots, permits, weather briefing and ground support services in an efficient and accurate manner.


Salary: Commensurate with Experience


Duties & Responsibilities:

Communicate effectively with customers

Collect & maintain all aircraft and crew documents

Ensure that complete pre-trip planning route evaluation, preliminary flight plans & permit requirements are all in place and in good order

Recommend best available routing options

Read, understand and interpret Weather & NOTAMs

Coordinate eAPIS, Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Services

Ensure catering, ground transportation and limousine services are arranged

Generate and file flight plans with ATC

Flight following

Ensure efficient and accurate delivery of all flight and ground operations services to increase client satisfaction;

Execute all flight support and ground handling services in accordance with the standards set by the Company;

Secure traffic clearances, overflight and landing slots or PPR for all types of flights; VVIP, VIP, Private, Commercial (Cargo and passenger), Ambulance, UN, Military and Ferry Flights;

Closely monitor all flights to ensure all ground services and/or any special arrangements are executed professional and on time.


Qualification Requirements:

Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Aviation or any related course

Years of experience: At least 2 years previous experience within the Aviation industry is preferred. Full training will also be provided to the selected candidate

Holding an FAA Dispatcher License would be advantageous (but not required)


Job Specific Skills:

Knowledge of aviation language, SITA and Flight planning program

Extensive knowledge of flight operations work and Civil Aviation requirements

Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and customer service skills.

Strong coordination skills and ability to work with high profile clients


Language Skills:

Fluent in English (both verbal and written), fluency in other languages preferred


Computer Skills:

Well-versed in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)


Personal Qualities:

Must enjoy providing service to customers.

Proactive, motivated and a good team-player.

Must be energetic, active, dependable and full of enthusiasm.

Must have the ability to learn new tasks quickly and efficiently.

Must be willing to work rotating shift schedule to include graveyard shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.

Detail-oriented and self-motivated individual with the ability to problem-solve quickly and efficiently, ensuring every job is thoroughly completed
