Coyote Flight Centers

Welcome to Coyote Flight Centers

Coyote Flight Centers (CFC) is located at Rick Husband International Airport. We provide flight training and aircraft rental. We also have a growing pilot shop located here in Amarillo. In addition to our flying, we provide LaserGrade testing.

Why we are Different

- Customer Service. Our schedule is flexible for students, pilots and test takers. Discounts available for our students on pilot supplies. We provide aviation support even after you earn your certificate.

- Safety First. Coyote Flight Centers is owned and operated by Teddy Acklin, a retired Amarillo Firefighter with a specialty in Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting. Also FAASTeam Rep, ARFF working group, etc..

- ATC Communications. Our location gives students a perfect learning environment to practice communications each time they fly. The confidence is built for trips to any type of airport across the nation.

- Testing Center. Coyote Flight Centers is the only FAA designated testing facility within a 100 mile radius of Amarillo.

Pilots

At Coyote Flight Centers, our training and commitment to aviation does not stop once you receive your license. Flying is not only a privilege to be enjoyed and shared; it comes with a responsibility to passengers, fellow aviators and ourselves. We offer our assistance to pilots of all levels and encourage communication, education, practice and service.

Need to get current? We offer Bi-Annual Flight Reviews, Refresher training, seminars and more.
Studying for an FAA Knowledge exam? We have ASA Prepware and instructors available and willing to help you review.

LaserGrade Testing too!

What is LaserGrade?
LaserGrade provides proctored, secured testing at locations across the United States and Canada and is the largest United States owned and operated testing network in North America. Coyote Flight Centers is an authorized LaserGrade testing center.

What test do you offer?
We host exams for over 70 national sponsors such as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the International Code Council (ICC), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist, just to name a few.

Coyote Flight Centers is the only FAA designated testing facility within 100 mile radius of Amarillo.

Why should I test at Coyote Flight Centers?
We have testers come to our location from all around the region including New Mexico, Oklahoma and Kansas.

We understand the need for flexibility and offer regular testing hours on Saturdays. It is also possible to schedule exams upon request if necessary. Contact Coyote Flight Centers directly for testing before/after hours.
