<i>General Courses </i>
Any member of the community can take aviation courses without entering the full degree program. Whether you want to learn to fly, earn a new certification or rating, or simply discover a little bit about the aviation industry, contact the program coordinator for course options today.
<i>Associate of Applied Science Degree </i>
The Associate of Applied Science in Aviation - Professional Pilot Airplane degree offers students opportunities to become a private or commercial airplane pilot, participate in search and rescue flight missions, build a career within the fire fighting field and more. Graduates of this program receive the following certificates and ratings:
Students also have the option to earn the instrument flight instructor and multi-engine instructor ratings if they choose. On top of these exciting options, our instructors bring years of military, airline, and commercial aviation experience. The program also includes extensive hands on training with the state-of-the-art CAT IV Modular Flight Deck training simulator as well as over 200 hours of actual flight time. What could be better? Transfer to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
COCC’s AAS in Aviation - Professional Pilot program is articulated with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s bachelor of science program in Professional Aeronautics, allowing students easy transfer upon completion of the AAS degree.
Note: Due to FAA rating/certification testing costs and required flight simulator use and actual flight time associated with aviation classes, this program carries significant additional fees. However, additional financial assistance is available to qualified students; contact COCC’s Student Financial Aid Office for details.
