Rutland Flying School

Operating from a private airfield near Oakham in the heart of Rutland, I offer training towards the issue of your private pilots license and specialise in providing intensive courses that combine flying with ground school on a one to one basis.

The school is registered and regulated by the Civil Aviation Authority and is authorised to conduct flying training, ground school and examinations for the issue of your private pilots license.

I have close links with the light aircraft association and associated struts throughout the UK as well as being a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.

Other services include navigation training for those newly qualified PPL´s or those wishing to gain experience and more confidence.

I fly with clients to Devon and Cornwall on a regular basis with the aim of brushing up up navigation skills. I offer fantastic rates for residential courses both in Rutland and in Cornwall (in conjunction with the Cornwall Flying Club.

As a school dedicated to its customers I work with you at a time to suit you.

My "one student at a time" philosophy means there is no rushing to the next lesson or trial flight and I am able to spend more time on briefings and post flight debriefs making your time at the school more valuable.

The aim is to help you get you your private pilots license by offering patient and thorough training.

If you really want to learn to fly an aircraft I can offer some of the most affordable training rates in the UK. My overheads are generally lower than some larger operators as I operate from a private airfield (no home landing fees or membership fees) so I can pass these savings onto you.
