About
The program was built by Captain Benjamin Head, an airline pilot and check airman who evaluates pilots for the major airline flight deck. From day one, students learn to brief, fly, and manage the cockpit using airline-style standard operating procedures, not just checkride minimums.
Our planned fleet is the factory-built Van's RV-12iS, equipped with dual Garmin G3X touchscreen displays, synthetic vision, and a coupled autopilot. It burns roughly 3.85 gallons per hour versus about 9 for legacy trainers, and those savings go straight to students. Program tuition is $83,350.
We run training like a tech company. Ground school is self-paced online, so time at the airport is spent flying and briefing. A live readiness dashboard tracks every maneuver, with electronic sign-offs instead of paper.
The Founding 2027 Cohort is limited to 8 seats. We are not yet accepting applications. Join the early-access list at vnavflightlabs.aero to apply 14 days before the public.
