School Overview

In 1992 in the structure of Georgian Technical University was developed aviation educational-scientific institute. In 2005 aviation educational-scientific institute got down from Technical University and became independent Georgian Aviation University. University has got an accreditation from ministry of education and science of Georgia.

GAU (Georgian Aviation University) is situated in Tbilisi, the capital city of Republic of Georgia. Several Pilot Instructors with more than 10,000 Hours of Piloting experience are working here to train the future pilots. Georgian Aviation University has 4 different faculties and professional training centre too.

Our faculties are:

  • Air transport flight exploitation
  • Air transport business administration
  • Engineering
  • Air law
Professional training centre has following specialties:
  • Pilot
  • Aircrafts and aviation engine maintenance technician
  • Aircraft avionics and el. system maintenance technician
  • Air carrier
  • Construction-technician of aerodromes and automobile roads
  • Accountant
Nowadays university has strong material-technical base. Students come here from foreign countries. It is very important, that graduates successfully work in many companies and most of them work in leader positions. They work in airports, air companies, and military forces and in many other structures too.

Students can take CPL (Commercial Pilot License) and ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) after finishing Air transport flight exploitation faculty. This license is valid in almost all countries of Europe.University has exchange programs in many other universities from different countries.
