Sport Flying of Connecticut

Danbury, Connecticut

Our Mission is to provide the type of flying most pilots want to do but is not often available. Seaplane, tailwheel, skiplane and tricycle-gear lightsport airplane flying is now available in Connecticut in a safe, fun and professional atmosphere.

Sport Flying of Connecticut was founded by Tony Debany. Tony is a long time flight instructor and designated pilot examiner for light sport. Tony recognized the need for this type of flight training and rental in Connecticut and enjoys sharing this passion with others.

The seaplane training is located in picturesque Southwestern Connecticut utilizing Candlewood Lake, Lake Zoar, Lake Lillinonah, the Housatonic and Connecticut rivers and more.

The tailwheel, skiplane and tri-gear light sport training is done on various paved and grass runways in the Danbury/Waterbury area.

Sept. 1, 2017 flying over and landing on the beautiful Candlewick Lake in a fabulous Husky floatplane was the highlight of the day. Thank you, Tony.
