Stanford Flying Club - Flight School

The Stanford Flying Club - Flight School is a nonprofit organization. 

We specialize in Flight Training.  We offer access to effective, personalized flight instruction. And, modern flight training planes, exclusive interactive pilot training materials, as well as other educational aviation services.  

We offer the best safety record in the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley area. 

Founded in 1930 at Stanford University, membership is open to the public. Based at Palo Alto Airport - S.F. Bay Area.

You can Learn to Fly and become a pilot, in a friendly and professional setting within the Club´s collegiate atmosphere;

Plus, you can use a Web-based Interactive Sport/Private Pilot Training course - an industry exclusive. It effectively integrates exclusive online-interactive training materials, with one-on-one ground briefings, and personalized in-aircraft flight instruction

Access to flight instruction and Flying Classes are available to pilots at all levels. Currently we can help you obtain the following pilot licenses and ratings:

• Solo Pilot License
• Sport Pilot License
• Private Pilot License
• Instrument Rating
• Personal Jet Type-Rating
• Commercial License
• Flight Instructor Rating
• Mountain Flying

The Club can also assist foreign pilots with obtaining Pilot Certifications from the US Federal Aviation Administration [FAA]. Based upon, or with credit for, a Pilot License, or flight training, obtained outside the USA.

We also assist non-citizens (or permanent residents) seeking training for a US Pilot License, in obtaining approval from the US Transportation Security Agency [TSA], that is necessary to pursue flight training for a FAA Pilot Certificate in the USA.
